Apostolos Andreas Monastery is located at the easternmost tip of the Karpaz Peninsula, on a quiet coast extending to the Mediterranean; It is a special visit point where faith, history and island culture meet. The monastery, which takes its name from St. Andrew, one of the first apostles of Christianity, has kept the tradition of prayer, votive offerings and visits alive for centuries. In addition to its spiritual identity, it continues to be one of the most valuable heritage sites of Cyprus with its structure that brings together different communities in a common cultural memory.

Restoration of Apostolos Andreas Monastery

The Apostolos Andreas Monastery restoration is being carried out as a two-stage major project; The first phase was completed in 2016, and the second phase is in its final stage to be completed in September 2026. The restoration is managed by UNDP with the joint financing of the Church of Cyprus and EVKAF, and is considered a symbol of peace as the first cultural heritage project funded jointly by the two communities on the island.
